A sudden price hike on your favorite product can be a frustrating thing. I mean, even if your go-to perfume that was always in your budget suddenly becomes a luxury item, you might have second thoughts about purchasing it.
Well, the same goes for all the social media management tools (including Later pricing). All these platforms are free until you switch to the premium to get all the rich perks and shell out $8 a month to X (formerly Twitter), a platform that changes its rules as often as you change your clothes.
So, let’s be honest, social media has changed its dynamics today, and it’s not JUST limited to sharing photos and tweets. Things have shifted, and it’s all about building your brand, engaging with your audience, and marking your space in the digital world.
It might seem surprising, but a social media management tool is needed. It’s like a superhero for every social media marketer.
As our discussion is headed toward the top social media management tools in the town, your mind might have clicked to Later along with the pioneers like Hootsuite and Buffer. Right?
Of course, these tools have set their marks in the social media industry, each offering unique features and benefits that cater to the needs of marketers out there.
Without further ado, let’s take a closer look at Later. The (OG) original Instagram scheduler that was launched in 2014. Back then, it was all about slaying on ‘Gram and was called Latergramme, as the tool solely focused on Instagram scheduling.
As time passed, it transformed into the ultimate visual marketing platform, extending its reach beyond Instagram and integrating more platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Now, with a whopping 7 million users globally, the platform is a real MVP of social media.
But do you know the interesting part?
The early version of Later looked nothing like the one we use today. The interface was different; it didn’t have all the cool features it offers now, and the Later social media pricing was way lighter on the pocket.
While Later has earned its reputation as the #1 visual marketing platform, they’ve recently made some adjustments to their pricing plans. They have raised their prices, making it slightly more expensive.
Yes, you heard it right!
But the good part is there are many other Later alternatives that are super affordable with versatile features, and they do a fantastic job without even breaking the bank.
All in all, after some serious work, Later has introduced some fresh pricing plans, and here I am going to spill the beans about Later pricing!

Later Previous Pricing Plan Vs Current Pricing Plan
Times change, and so do the offerings of our favorite tools!
Later has been a go-to platform for countless users. But as the new changes evolve, so does Later’s pricing structure. Let’s compare Later’s old pricing to what they offer now. Let me tell you, Later once had various pricing plans tailored to different needs.
Here’s a closer look at what they used to have and now what they have.
Starter Plan
The plan cost only $18/month and was suitable for individuals or small businesses. For $18 per month, you had one user and access to one social set. It also included features like 30 posts per social profile, basic analytics, a customizable Linkin.bio page, and collaboration tools.
Now, the current Mighty Starter Plan is designed for small teams and starts at $25 per month. It includes access to 1 Social Set, which includes 1 social profile for each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn).
This plan allows 1 user and supports up to 30 posts per social profile. You can access limited analytics for up to 3 months with 5 credits for AI features, a customizable Linkin.bio page, and collaboration tools for creators.
However, this plan doesn’t offer extra Social Sets or users, but you can add extra credits for $5 per month, which gives you 100 credits.
Growth Plan
Moving to the next one, the Growth Plan had your back if you needed more powers. It was priced at $40 per month and allowed three users and three social sets. With 150 posts per social profile, in-depth analytics for up to a year, team and brand management tools, and collaborative features, the plan offered much more.
The plan subtly fits right for all the large businesses in the industry. Also, additional social sets and users came with extra charges.
However, if we take a look at the current plan, then this plan costs $45 per month and is ideal for growing teams. It offers 3 Social Sets, which means 3 social profiles for each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn).
You can get 3 users in with 150 posts per social profile. Moreover, you can access comprehensive analytics for up to 1 year of data. Along with 30 credits for AI features, you can get tools like a customizable Linkin.bio.
Just in case you require more social sets, each additional one costs $15 per month, and each extra user can be added for $5 per month. You can also opt for extra credits at $5 per month, which provides 100 credits.
Advanced Plan
The Advanced Plan was a top-tier option for all the big fish in the market. It offered six users at $80 monthly and provided access to six social sets. You could enjoy unlimited posts, comprehensive analytics, a customizable Linkin.bio page, and robust collaboration tools.
Coming to the current advanced plan and pricing are the same, $80 per month, and is designed for larger teams & advanced needs. It offers 6 Social Sets, covering 6 social profiles for each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn). You can onboard 6 users with unlimited posts and access full analytics along with 50 credits for AI and other features.
Scale Plan
Later offered the Scale Plan at $200 per month for those with extensive social media needs. This plan allowed a total of 10 users and provided access to 15 social sets, giving you ample room to scale your social media efforts.
This pricing plan no longer exists in the current Later pricing.

The Difference Between the Current Later Pricing Plans & Previous Ones
The difference is very clear!
Let’s take a closer look at the difference between the current and previous plans of Later.
Price Hike
If you have been using Later, you might have noticed a bump in the pricing plan. Trust me, you are not alone, but the recent price hike has raised eyebrows among its loyal users.
The earlier pricing offered 3 paid plans and one free plan. The paid plans started from $18/month with 1 social account of each platform along with basic scheduling and analytics features.
Okay, I agree that $18/month is affordable for startups and small businesses, but a sudden hike changes everything. Switching from $18/month to $25/month is a HUGE shift, and with all of that, you can only access basic scheduling features, 5 AI credits, and limited analytics
Goodbye Free Plan
Later decided to retire their free plan. Yep, it’s gone FOREVER!
The visual platform now offers a 14-day free trial on its paid plans instead of the free plan. After the trial period, you must pay for the premium plans.
Limited Social Accounts
This is one of the MAJOR pitfalls of Later, and that’s the limited social accounts. I mean, you are actually paying $25/month just to get 1 social set with limitations.
I know this social set thing is quite confusing. You probably think that you can connect up to 6 social accounts, but NO!
1 social set includes only 1 account of each social media network (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest & TikTok) with 1 user. If you want to add more users or an extra social set, you must upgrade to the Growth plan if you are on the Starter plan.
Also, extra social sets, users, and AI credits are only available for the Growth and Advanced plans, which start at $40/month. This is quite disappointing!
Don’t Just Post, Grow Your Presence on Social Media with Social Champ
With our all-rounder social media management tool, get all the rich perks and maximize your presence on social media.
Feature Wars – Later Vs Social Champ
As I told you, there is no shortage of social media management tools; you can find better and super-affordable Later alternatives with versatile features, extra users, and, of course, no hidden charges.
Talking about social media tools, especially the best Instagram schedulers, Social Champ has made its way toward the leading social media management tools in the industry. With a vibrant UI and an easy-to-use dashboard, the tool offers you to create, schedule, and analyze your posts on multiple social media platforms, including Mastodon.
Here, I have done my research based on some Later reviews and Social Champ reviews. Lets compare the two platforms.
Extraordinary Features
Comparing Later to Social Champ, it is clearly evident that Social Champ offers a range of extraordinary features that Later simply doesn’t have. While Later is a solid social media management tool, it still lacks versatile features.
Social Champ, on the other hand, provides users with exceptional features such as repeat posts, Twitter Thread scheduling, automated Queue postings, a shareable calendar, and much more.
Trust me, these features allow for seamless scheduling, giving users a competitive edge. Social Champ wins the race here with its intuitive interface and easy-to-use dashboard, making it an appealing choice for marketers.
Social Media Integrations
Talking about social media platform integrations, Social Champ takes the lead by offering nine major social media platforms, which include Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google Business Profile, YouTube, and Mastodon. This extensive social media integration allows users to manage their presence effectively on all social media platforms without juggling multiple tabs.
On the other hand, Later primarily focuses on Instagram and Pinterest. While it does provide support for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, the tool is solely dedicated to enhancing Instagram and Pinterest marketing.
Customer Support
When it comes to customer support, Social Champ truly shines. Our customer support is exceptionally known for being fast and responsive. Social Champ is committed to ensuring every customer has a great experience and that their questions are promptly addressed. We proudly offer our customer support to FREE plan users as well.
On the other hand, Later offers customer support exclusively to advanced plan users.
Later Pricing Vs Social Champ Pricing
Social Champ offers more budget-friendly options. While both platforms provide valuable social media management tools, Social Champ’s pricing tends to be more affordable, making it an excellent choice for businesses and individuals looking for cost-effective solutions.
Here’s a detailed comparison of Later Pricing and Social Champ pricing.
Drawbacks of Later Pricing Plan
Finding the perfect balance between features and affordability is key when choosing a social media management tool. Later offers a range of pricing plans to cater to various needs. Unfortunately, each comes with certain drawbacks, and you can’t ignore them.
Starter Plan
Limited Social Sets: The Starter Plan provides access to only one Social Set, which includes one social profile for each platform. You’ll need to upgrade to a higher-tier plan if you need to manage multiple accounts for the same platform or across various platforms.
Basic Analytics: While it has advanced analytics, the plan offers limited analytics for up to 3 months. This may be insufficient for businesses requiring in-depth analytics insights.
Growth Plan
Additional Costs for Extra Sets and Users: If your team grows beyond the initial three users or needs more Social Sets, you will have to pay extra for each. These additional costs can add up quickly, potentially making the plan more expensive than it initially seems.
Advanced Plan
Higher Monthly Cost: The Advanced Plan comes with a significantly higher monthly cost of $80. This price point may be a limiting factor for smaller businesses or those on a tight budget.
Similar Features as Starter: Some features, such as the cost of adding extra Social Sets and users, are the same as the Starter Plan. This means you are essentially paying more for the same features, just with a higher limit on the number of sets and users.
Is Later Worth It?
And here we have ended our Later pricing discussion. Being a Later user, a choice might be tough for you, but to make your business shine, you need to make a better choice.
Now, it’s time to assess if Later fits your business needs, ensuring smooth social media management. On the other hand, Social Champ offers an affordable and efficient solution with excellent features, as highlighted in its reviews.
As a business manager, it’s your call to decide which tool best suits your goals and helps your business thrive.
The choice is yours!
