YouTube’s controversial desktop redesign is now available to all YouTube Premium subscribers. With this new layout, the platform aims to create a more intuitive and engaging viewing experience.
In the updated design, as seen in an example posted by Android Authority, the video title, description, and comments are now placed to the right of the video player. Meanwhile, recommendations have been moved to the bottom of the screen instead of their usual spot on the right side.
This redesign is part of YouTube’s ongoing effort to improve the user interface, making it easier for viewers to engage with content and find new videos to watch. Whether it will be well-received remains to be seen, but Premium subscribers can explore the new layout now.
