pasio

Today’s guest for  our Champ Talks is Pascio. He is a Notion Template Guy. He is a Digital Creator & Notion Ambassador. He also shares his insights, lessons & shitposts on twitter.

We asked a series of questions from him, on our Twitter Space session  hosted by Neha Khan, Community Manager & Kulsoom Awan Community Manager  at Social Champ to discuss AI and Notion.

Pascio:

Hi everyone! My name is Pascio. I wouldn’t say I belong to any specific industry. I’m very notion focused, have dabbled a bit in AI now as well, but I’m a Jag of all trades, so I try to be in as many places as I can.

Kulsoom : What do you think of AI and how it’s going to impact us in the long run? Will it have a positive or negative impact?
Pascio:

AI is comparable to the early days of the internet in the 2000s. We’re at the beginning of something big, and it’s unpredictable where it will lead. There are concerns that AI will take over the world or kill industries, but it also has many benefits.

Kulsoom : Yeah. Do you think it will have an impact on employment or labor in future? Is it going to replace humans for sure? What do you think?
Pascio:

Of course. Just like the internet killed a bunch of manual industries, I think AI will do the same. I don’t think anything is going to. It’s not that the job market is just going to die and nobody’s going to have a job ever again. Some industries are in danger for sure. For Example, In copywriting, there is always a human aspect that you cannot replicate. But I think also in the future, as AI progresses and becomes more and more human like, I mean, eventually, text based stuff like content creation or ghost writing or copywriting, I think eventually it will get replaced by AI for sure.

Kulsoom: I see you are a huge fan of notions and you offer a lot of advice regarding it. Just tell our audience and our listeners, how can our listeners make the most out of such tools like notions for their daily work?
Pascio:

By template. If you want the optimal productivity workflow in whatever you do, whether it’s business or personal life, go find a template that supports that. You can build it yourself, but then again, we’re back at productivity. If you’re looking to optimize your time, do you really want to spend 12 hours building a template when you could just buy it? So I would say find a template that fits your workflow and then optimize that.

Kulsoom : What do you think about product hunting? Is it a good space to start your product? I see you’ve written a lot of guides on product hunters and how to be the product of the day. What about.
Pascio:

The key to success on Product Hunt is to focus on getting the most upvotes possible, which translates to free traffic for your product or service. Launch early in the day to maximize visibility for the full 24-hour feature window. Preparation and a solid strategy are crucial to achieving a high number of upvotes. Secure upvotes right away to get a top placement and attract organic traffic on Product Hunt. Being at the top early on guarantees staying at the top. Having followers or being active in the Product Hunt community doesn’t matter for getting to the top.

Neha K : Fair enough. What attracts people to your paid courses and guides? How do you create unique content? What sparked your interest in this?
Pascio:

The beginning of any online business is building an audience. I would say that I’m a big believer in organic marketing, and I believe that if you have an audience, opportunities will come to you. You can get brand deals, brand sponsorships, You can sell products, you can sell service. You can do anything as long as you have an audience. I would say the whole foundation of everything that I do and that I would recommend to anyone else is essentially building up an audience.

Neha K : For organic marketing, do you think that your content should be specific about your product or your content should be anything that attracts an audience?
Pascio:

It depends. If we’re talking about notion creative business, you don’t want to just talk about your product because that’s spammy. For brands, that can work. If they have a product and brand value, they can talk just about the product and how people use it. But if you’re trying to build an audience, people are not going to follow you just for your product. They’re going to follow you if you provide value to them.

Neha K: What do you think is unique about your courses and guides? Because we have seen that you have so many followers and people are liking your content. So what is the uniqueness you think that you have bought from other people or other companies doesn’t have and people are engaging towards you?
Neha K.

That’s truly amazing. Moving toward the questions, As you know Social Champ as a scheduling social media platform. Do you think scheduling helps in engaging the customers over simply or organically posting?.

Pascio:

Schedule your post on Social media to save time and focus on building your business. Spending time every day to think of engaging tweets is a waste of time. Instead, create multiple tweets in one sitting and schedule them for the week. This way, you can focus on more important tasks like creating products and engaging with your audience

Kulsoom: How was your journey from a 9 to 5 job to a successful entrepreneur? What were some challenges you faced along the way?
Pascio:

Stop saying the word “hard” and make hard things fun. That’s the mindset to have. One year ago, I was fed up with a nine-to-five job and decided to try starting my own business. At first, I thought it was hard, but then I thought about the alternative of being stuck in the same job for the next 50 years. I decided to start no matter how long it would take, because the alternative is worse. If you’ve been doing the same thing for 40 years, it’s because you’ve convinced yourself that’s all there is, but you can choose to change that mindset. It all starts in the mind.

Kulsoom: So it all comes down to having a mindset, like a growth mindset. If you have a growth mindset, then you can achieve anything. So let’s say if you have a growth mindset, What do you think about the learning skills, learning about these tools, exploring self? Do you think all humans have in it that they can learn anything they want?
Pascio:

Anyone can learn anything from anyone. If you have limiting beliefs that you can’t do something because of your upbringing, it’s just that – a limiting belief. With enough time and dedication, anyone can learn anything. For example, if you dedicate the next 10 years of your life to coding, you can become a better coder than anyone out there.

Neha K: How hashtags measure on your post trending and how it gets engagement?
Pascio:

Don’t use hashtags. That’s all I have to say. The reason I say it is, on Instagram, hashtags work great. On Twitter, hashtags are a thing of the past. All hashtags on your post make it look spammy. It doesn’t give you any more reach. It only makes your post seem low quality. So don’t use hashtags, never.

Neha K: How effective do you think social media marketing is and what is your most favorite social media platforms do you find useful for reaching your audience?
Pascio:

Every social media platform is useful, but Twitter is best for me because I like writing. It adds credibility to my business and products due to my 50K followers. Credibility and authority are the most important factors for me

Neha K: Yeah, that’s the best thing. You have a huge engagement on your Twitter account. So how do you handle online criticism or conflict? And do you think Twitter is a useful platform for engaging in all these debates?
Pascio:

Engaging in negativity is not worth the energy. Constructive criticism is valuable, but there’s a lot of negativity online. Engaging in negative conversations can take away from your credibility and it’s not worth the energy that could be spent on growing your business.

Guest Speaker:

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I actually asked a question earlier considering the difference between certificates and AI skills because from this part of the world, I come from Nigeria, this is a very serious issue. Career talk has been moving on, but most people believe that they really need to obtain degrees and certificates so as to move to the next level of having income, sustaining themselves, and having a good livelihood. We find that today, without the certificates, degrees, people are actually learning AI skills and actually getting the money.

Pascio:

A great question. Let me answer it this way. You know what else is a certificate? An education. You know who cares about education? Employers. You know who doesn’t care about education? People who have a problem that you can solve. So my answer is this, certifications are cool and shit if you’re trying to get a job. But that’s not what I promote. I promote the opposite. I promote building a business. And I believe that no matter if you’re from Africa, from Southeast Asia,

As long as you’re not breaking the use policy that open AI did, no, I don’t see a problem with it. I mean, do you see a problem with monetizing Google or Facebook or Twitter? If you can make money off something and you’re not breaking any laws, why not? No reason not to. Yeah.

Pascio:

Thank you for hosting this space. And yeah, on a final note, I just want to tell everyone out here that if you’re listening to this space and you have some similar dream to me, decide right now that Thank you.

Kulsoom : Much for that inspirational ending note. Have a great day, and thank you so much once again for doing this with us.
