We invited Janice Wald over for a session at #ChampsTalk a few days ago to impart some more wisdom right after we published her article. For those who don’t know, she is an expert digital marketer, who provides consultation for social media and blogging. She is a reputed author and her work has been published in big names such as Huffington Post.
Our audience had an amazing time interacting with her and asking her questions!
If you missed out on the session, here is a quick run through of all that went down that day.

Thank you @MrsPaznanski for joining us today 🙏
Let's begin with our first question: How important is it for a brand or a person to have a strong online presence? What are different benefits that could be achieved through having an online presence? #ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/YpaeUxXUOD
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
#ChampsTalk 1: Branding is important. If you dilute your brand, you can confuse your target audience. On the other hand, if you maintain a strong brand presence, you become memorable and consumers think of you when it’s time to make a purchase.
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q2. What’s your recommended approach for a brand or a person who’s starting out fresh on social media? #ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/Iot9jBHftm
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
A brand includes aesthetics as well as a written message. Make sure the colors of the graphic you use on social media are your brand colors. Make sure the text is in line with your company’s message or mission statement.
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q3. Should a person or a brand consider blogging? What’s the best practice to deliver it to the maximum audience? #ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/9vTufowPdL
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
If a person is knowledgeable and passionate about a topic, they should start a blog and share the information. They spread their knowledge and learn the joy of generating a community, a brand, and possibly a business. #ChampsTalk
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
3: #ChampsTalk The best practice is to generate traffic. Learning SEO takes you far since Google can send you waves of traffic for years for each keyword you rank for. Use a keyword tool to find keywords that have interest and low competition for readership.
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q4. What’s the best approach through which a business or brand can establish its online presence? What’s better: a website with proper SEO or being active on social media? #ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/E3hVucVDYV
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
4: Both SEO and SMM can establish your online presence, but if you only choose one, it should be SEO. Social media traffic is fleeting whereas Google traffic can last for years. #ChampsTalk
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q5. How can social media help with creating a strong community around a brand or a product? #ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/88vsExJoin
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
5: Use tools like Canva to make graphics for various social media sites. This keeps your brand and your message in the public eye. Give people a Call to Action such as asking them to share or hold a giveaway in which they share to enter. This extends your brand.
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q6. Does cross-promotion on social media help with organic growth for a brand? #ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/CW603v0TSV
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
Cross promoting saves you time. You don’t have to create new content for different social media sites when you promote your content across social media channels.#ChampsTalk
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q7. How should one go around creating a content marketing strategy for their brand?#ChampsTalk pic.twitter.com/efDNrleG1z
— Social Champ (@SocialChampSays) November 23, 2021
7: Link internally which boosts traffic. Subtly weave in to the article that greater help can be found in the course, product, or service. #ChampsTalk
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
Q8. Lastly, who do you think we should invite next on #ChampsTalk? pic.twitter.com/65LY9RJ0Bc

How do I track my online presence performance, is there any tool that can help me to rectify my day-by-day growth. @MrsPaznanski @SocialChampSays #ChampsTalk
— Marium Fahim Khan (@marium_fahim) November 23, 2021
Hi! Thanks for joining us! I use Google Analytics to see how my reach gets extended. It's a free tool.
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
So let's suppose I already have a team taking care of my organic growth for my business. But I still need paid campaigns; which one should I go for first, social ads or PPC? And why?@MrsPaznanski @SocialChampSays #ChampsTalk
— Marium Fahim Khan (@marium_fahim) November 23, 2021
I have considered social ads. I was considering buying ads at Quora. People in my niche would be the target and there is less competition to buy ads and I hear is more affordable than Facebook #ChampsTalk
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
When you buy an ad at Google, it sits on the top of the SERPs for maximum visibility. I don't use paid ads, but if I did, I'd choose Google. #ChampsTalk

How an individual can increase the number of followers on Twitter? #ChampsTalk@MrsPaznanski @SocialChampSays
— Tahniat Alam (@tahniatalam) November 23, 2021
Hi! Thanks for joining! I use Twiends, it's a free service. In addition, I follow people who follow me in my niche. I also follow them if they like or retweet my tweets if they have more followers than people they follow. #ChampsTalk
— Janice Wald (@MrsPaznanski) November 23, 2021
